IEEE SIGHT GECW successfully organized an online workshop focused on “Animal Detection Using Machine Learning” as an integral part of the BFMS project. The primary goal of this workshop was to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary for implementing the hardware component of the BFMS project, specifically centered around animal detection. The workshop was conducted in online mode, for all individuals who were selected to be part of the BFMS project team. This inclusivity ensured that team members directly involved in the project could benefit from the workshop’s insights. The session began with a comprehensive introduction to machine learning concepts, setting the foundation for understanding its application in the context of animal detection. Participants were provided with a clear roadmap on how to translate theoretical knowledge into practical implementation, particularly emphasizing the hardware aspects of the project. Participants in the workshop were presented with a clear and detailed idea of machine learning and its direct relevance to the BFMS project. The comprehensive understanding of machine learning and the practical insights into hardware implementation provided a solid foundation for participants
